Stolen Gypsy
Thanks to Karen Mossman, an accomplished author and blogger, for her wonderful review of “Stolen Gypsy”. It’s always a great compliment when an author I admire likes one of my books! Continue reading Stolen Gypsy

A couple of things attracted me to this book. Number one, I read C.A. Sanders first book in The Watchmage Chronicles, The Watchmage of Old New York. I loved it. Secondly, the title of this book, Cold Iron. Cold iron was said to be harmful to witches, fairies, and ghosts. It was also thought to repel evil supernatural creatures. Cold Iron brings back the … Continue reading Cold Iron (The Watchmage Chronicles Book 2) By C.A. Sanders
“Scarlett has awoken in hospital, she has no memory of the accident, no recollection of events leading up to it. But she remembers Travis – or is he a mere figment of her imagination? Makayla thinks so. Strange things, unexplainable happenings begin to torment Scarlett. Is she losing her mind? Others, including Makayla, suspect this is so. But her vision of Travis is unequivocal, he … Continue reading “Phantom Footprints: An Electric Eclectic Book” by Ian Welch
I loved Caleb Carr’s first two books and thought I would give Surrender, New York a try. The fact that I am from New York, and New Yorker’s don’t surrender, also had something to do with my choice. I’d read the negative reviews, and I thought, how bad could it be? I don’t know what the other reviewers were reading, because I liked this book … Continue reading “Surrender, New York: A Novel” by Caleb Carr

My new book, Stolen Gypsy, will be available for pre-order on April 15th, 2018. The cost will be $.99 for THREE DAYS ONLY during the pre-order period. I did a great deal of research when writing this one; gypsies, drug cartels, and the Witness Protection Program. It was a challenge to incorporate some diverse subjects into one cohesive story. The cover is designed by Rachel … Continue reading Cover Reveal! “Stolen Gypsy”
I have to confess I was a tad skeptical about reading an “alien sci-fi romance.” But, since one of the authors happens to be a favorite of mine, I decided to take a chance. I am delighted I did. Conquered By the Alien Prince: An Alien Sci-Fi Romance by Rebel West is dynamite. It’s a sexy, thrilling, creative book. Alien Prince Lock got me … Continue reading Conquered By the Alien Prince: An Alien Sci-Fi Romance by Rebel West

Sometimes good things come in small packages. This is true of Karen J. Mossman’s thriller Down by The River: An Electric Eclectic Book. From the first paragraph when Shelby steps off the bus, the feeling of impending doom is palpable. She has returned to the small North Louisiana town where she had grown up to reconnect with her childhood friend Mary-Jo. It is … Continue reading “Down by The River: An Electric Eclectic Book” By Karen J. Mossman
As a domestic abuse survivor, I was eager to read this book by Sarah Northwood. She’s Not Gone is more than a story about spousal abuse; it is also a story of survival, with a paranormal twist. The Prologue gives no hint to the story that follows. In fact, I had to return to it after finishing the book to understand the point … Continue reading “She’s Not Gone” by Sarah Northwood
I write southern historical fiction, local history, and I've written a devotional book. The two novels I'm writing are set in Virginia and the Carolinas in the 1760s. My weekly blog started out to follow my journey as a writer and a reader, but in 2025 it has been greatly expanded to include current events and politics in the United States as I see our democracy under attack from within. The political science major in me cannot sit idly by and remain silent.
