About

As a sixty-one-year-old mother and grandmother, I have seen a lot. I recently stopped working and have decided it’s time to make some profound life changes. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when I was in my early 30’s, I have managed to raise my children and work full-time, get a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Psychology and Sociology. I was in an abusive marriage for 10 years, a single mom for over 30 years, an adult college student, and have lived in poverty and been part of the disappearing middle class. I recently completed my first novel and have started on the next one. Writing has always been a part of my life. I also have a deep concern for others. I am putting those things together and sharing my thoughts. Thanks for reading! I hope I make you think.

September 2016 Update

I am now 63 years old, have two full-length novels published, and short stories in a few anthologies. My third novel will be published this month. I also have a great-grandson. I continue to travel and take photos, and many of my photos are available for purchase on Google+. Check them out if you like. Life is just beginning!

March 2025

I turned 72 this year, and it’s been over ten years since I started this blogging journey. A lot can and did happen during those years. Some things were amazing, and some were heartbreaking. Some made me smile, and some made me cry. But isn’t that true of everyone’s life?

I’ve achieved some of my goals while falling short on others. I haven’t given up on those. It’s just taking me longer to accomplish them. I’ve published four full-length novels, nine novellas, and short stories in twelve anthologies. I have three books in the works, several short stories simmering on my laptop, and multiple ideas for more of both.

  1. Elizabeth, I am new to the Readers Review Room but am impressed with it.
My books (under the pen name of rcheydn) were recently listed.
If you had the time to glance at them I would appreciate your views.
I have also very recently started a blog (http://rcheydnbooks.blogspot.co.uk/).
Once again I would welcome any comments you might have. Ross

      1. Also, I’ll be sure to let you know what I think. I end up reading my digital books when I am up with the baby kid in the middle of the night, so now I have something to keep me company.

    1. I hope you enjoy it. It’s the sexist of my books so I hope you won’t be offended. I usually don’t write erotic romance but this was such a compelling story it fit perfectly. I’d love to hear your opinion. If you enjoy it I would be happy to add you to my mailing list and keep you up to date with my next book. What kind of books do you usually like to read?
