Transcript of Bill Horton-Lee Oswald Message

The following is a portion of the video message Bill Horton sent to media outlets worldwide. We make no claims as to the veracity of his statements and are awaiting comments from the President, government representatives, or others named as conspirators in the assassination of President John Kennedy on November 22, 1963. This is part one of the transcript. We will be presenting the remainder over the next several days.

“On November 22, 1963 President John F Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested and accused of the murder. He was innocent. I know this because I am Lee Harvey Oswald. On November 24, 1963 as I was being transported from the police station to the county jail I was shot by Jack Ruby. At that time I was taken by ambulance to Parkland Hospital where I was treated. Everything you have heard about that day and the days preceding the assassination are lies. It is time for the truth to be revealed.

I joined the United States Marines when I was 17 years old. It had always been my dream. I wanted to be a Marine because I was proud of the country I grew up in. I knew then and I know now there are things that are wrong. But in the end I believe in America. Even now I believe. In the Marines I did well in several areas. I was not a very good shot but I learned fast. I guess that was when they decided to groom me. I was part of a group that was selected for special training in certain areas. I did not know then that we were being groomed for bigger things.
I was young and naïve. I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to be looked up to. I wanted people to know my name.” At this point he stopped and shook his head and took a sip of a beverage. “I did not want people to hear my name and hate me. I wanted to help my country not tear it apart.”
